Creative Writing-why hamsters can't fly

Hamster families were living in the cage, and one day they escaped and went into the woods. There were lots of bugs in the wood. It was lady bug. Lady bug invited them to a tea party.But the hamsters didn't like lady bugs and didn't go to the tea party. Instead, they ate raymeon, so the ladybugs were jealous, and the lady bug said," When you give me raymeon, I will give you money." But hamsters didn't give raymeon to a lady bug.The lady bug got really angry with the hamster familiy, and one day, hamster family said "Sorry" and the lady bug said sorry too, and then they all became friends each other. Then, I woke up. It was a dream. I went out to the forest and there were 5 hamsters gathering. Their name were Goster, Ohster, Inster, Soster, and puster. They were boring playing tag so they went into the forest. After that, they met a old hamster called Lambster and he thought those hamsters how to fly. After 1 year, they learned how to fly and they all flew! The hamsters went into a house and met their long time ago owner. They all cried and then the hamsters went into the cage again. They always ate and met their long time ago owner. They all cried and then the hamsters went into the cage again. They were really happy to see their owner again. They always ate and slept, so slowly, they started to forget how to fly. Nowadays, hamsters  can't fly. That's the reason why they can't fly! The legend, 'Hamster families' because really popular and became a best seller.

Last week in GLPS...

   Dear my classmates

It's the last week in here GLPS... At first I wanted to go back to home and do whatever I want but now, I think times go really fast. I still remember when I ride the bus to come here but now is the last week of this camp! I will miss all of you... Jane, Cindy, Helena, Sue, Mok Hee, So Won, Chae Won, Yu Jin, and many other people. I will also miss Mr.Jerry, Mr.White, Ms. Angela, and many other teachers and PA. When I go back to ShenZhen in China, every day, I will think about GLPS and I will never ever forget this wonderful experience... I think my best subject is Debate. Debating is really fun and exciting for me. My second best subject is Writing. Writing is really fun and interesting even though I am not that good at it. It's really sleepy and tired but happy to see you friends and teachers smiling at me... I will never forget you and you also never forget me...

La Mian for Ode

 
   Dear La Mian

Hi, I am Ruby! It's been so long since I haven't seen you. It's been like a month, but next Sunday, I will meet you because the camp will be over. When I arrive home, I will quickly search for you. Do you remember when we spent night together watching TV?! It was so fun at that time! Whenever I am tired, you always warmed me up with your hot temper.

I always feel happy to see you. My good friend La Mian, do you remember when I always looked for you wherever I am?! I was always happy to see you and I really liked you so much! But one day, hives started to come up on my skin, and I scratched and scratched. It was really painful and my mom said that it's all because of you, so I started to avoid you; we started to not see each other a lot so my hives started to go away. At that time, I missed you so much! And right now I still miss you! When my hives were gone, I started to see you again. I will promise you that I will be your friend forever. My good friend La Mian, sometimes I would avoid you but please understand me.

Do you want to know about many kinds of my La Mian friends? Let me introduce you my good friends. There are Xin La Mian, and Ko Ko Mian. My friend Xin La Mian has a very hot temperament so when she is mad; she is really scary and fiery. But Ko Ko Mian, she is really kind and nice to me every time but her problem is that she is too fainthearted, so sometimes I feel tired of playing with her. I think it's perfect if I play with both of them. I think your characteristic is the middle of those two La Mians. I really want to not fight aㅂnd be friends with all of you guys.

Right now, I really want to see you and play with you. Anyway, whenever I searched for you, you were always there for me and thank you for being my friend for 12 years. My good friend La Mian, thank you!

Reflective essay 'Spring'

  Have you ever experienced the same thing what you did before? In the film 'spring' by Kim Ki Duk, I saw a boy bothering animals by tying a string with a rock on it, and the old monk saw it too. One day, the monk did the same thing to the young boy so he goes to save them but they were all dead except the frog. He realizes what he had done and it was the lesson for him to not bother other animals again. He knew how painful and tired it is to live and move with the rock.

  Sometimes, I see people pulling dragonflies' wings off so I go tell them, “What would you feel If you are a dragonfly and one day a huge giant comes and rip your wings off?" Then they mostly say, “That won't happen because I am not a dragon fly!!" and then they just ignore me and play with it. I always feel sad about it. I remember when I told people thing by using comparisons. I think they kill or bother animals or insects because they think they're not really important to them. They think it doesn't affect their life. My friend used to say when she kills insects, “This is just a bug Ruby...This is not important! Who cares?" But I think it's not right to kill or bother insects and animals for fun. They also have life. Even if it is a little dragonfly, still, it's living its own life.

  I think the boy learned a lesson when the monk tied the string with a rock to his body. He knew how painful it is and he knew it's the same thing with animals. Let me tell you another experience of mine. When I was in the 2nd grade in Korea, a boy in out class took out a goldfish from the fishbowl and he squeezed the fish so the fish popped. I asked him why he did that and he said for fun. I thought the fish was really poor, died because of a boy's entertainment and I knew that a few people think they can kill something, if it's not a human.

  I think the monk taught a young boy by doing the same thing what he did to him, so he learned that he should not bother animals with a rock. I think it's correct that people learn when they make a mistake. I hope people don't play with dragonflies by killing them again. I wish people realize that animals and insects are important.

  I think the consequence when we do something wrong is that the person who did something wrong will take that back one day. It's only my experience but when somebody bullies and does something bad to my friends then after that she gets bully by other girls and experiences something bad again too. I think it's like a cycle. When I do something good then one day somebody will do something good to me but if I do something bad to other then that will come back to me. Mostly, that's really true. Anyway thank you for reading!

Kony 2012

  Have you heard of a savage criminal known as Joseph Kony? Joseph Kony has abducted more than 30,000 children from their families in Uganda and Africa, forcing young boys and girls to murder their parents and become child soldiers. Surprisingly, it's been happening for more than 30 years in Africa and Uganda. Right now on the internet, there are lots of videos about African children, about Kony, and how people are trying to make Kony famous by making Kony 2012 t-shirts, bracelets, and posters but it is totally wrong thinking.

  I think they want to make Kony famous so that other people will be willing to donate and help Uganda by letting other people know how savage Joseph Kony is. It might be a good idea but I disagree with some parts. Why make Kony famous? Videos rubs Uganda people's mind and it baffles them! One of the victims said,"If you care for us, the victims, you will respect our feelings and acknowledge how hurting it is for us to see people mobilizing the world most wanted criminal." It is very painful for the victims and their families to see posters, bracelets and t-shirts. Another one young man who lost four brothers and one of his arms said afterwards, “How can anybody expect a person to wear a t-shirt with Kony's name on it?" many people were asking, “Why give such a criminal celebrity status?" I am also wondering why people want to make Kony famous. We should think of the victims. We must acknowledge how painful they are to see these posters and stuff.

 

  People might say that it's important to let other people know and make Kony famous so next time people might be more careful and care for Africans more and people will be willing to donate but actually this is African's problem and if they don't want and think this isn't helping and hurting more, then people should not make Kony famous. People want to make Kony famous so they think they can help Africans but Africans might think it's hurting more, and if I say this right to the point then I'll say that, “This isn't our business so we don't have a choice to do something. Let's follow what (victims) Africans want.



  Therefore, I strongly disagree about making Kony famous. People must capture the horrible criminal Joseph Kony first! It might be also important to let other people know about Joseph Kony but we should acknowledge them. The first thing we have to do is to capture Kony. We must think for the victims. We should not make Kony famous.

Three things I know to be true

Let me talk about three things I know to be true. Those three things are going to be about reading, shopping, and making friends. I thought about it before for a long time and finally decided to write this!


Shopping makes me excited and enchanted. Since when I was young, I really liked to buy things. For example, expensive pens from Japan, a lot of jewelaries, books, eletronics, and other special stuffs. I like to buy buy them because when I get new things I feel delighted and when I things that I really wanted before, I feel like it's miracle to get it. Moreover, I sometimes get some kind of feelings that I can't explain. But sometimes my personality of buying things make me waste money. Sometimes I really want to buy things I don't really need. So nowadys I'm trying to control myself. Anyway shopping is fun!

Reading books really makes me happy because I think it's fun to know other people's wat of thinking through reading books. It's really fun to read other people's creative thinking and unusal stories. Every time when I read books. Especially English books I feel like I am in another world. I cant put the book down and often I feel srange when the author writes special and unusal stories, 'The Hunger Games' series. The author wrote the stories that other people can't think of. This is why  like reading! That's the reason why I wrote it in the list of three things.

Making friends is also delightful, but it's also hard for me to make friends. I think I made friends really easily before but these days it's kind of hard. Making friends is easier but making good friends is a bit harder. Anyway, when I make a lot of friends, I feel pleasure and feel like this camp is really awesome! But sometimes, making friends causes troubles, for instance fighting and being jealous because I got to know more and more about other friends.

These were three things I know to be true. Those three things are going to be about reading, shopping, and making friends.
